Retirement & Assisted Living Directory — Washington, Yamhill, Tillamook & Multnomah County, Oregon

From independent living to memory care, here’s a directory of licensed senior living options serving Washington, Yamhill, Tillamook, and Multnomah County. Levels of care and availability change — please contact each community directly for current information. Facility status has been cross-checked against Oregon’s official Licensed Long-Term Care Settings Search where the facility type is state-regulated (assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, adult foster homes); independent-living-only communities aren’t part of that state database.

A different model worth knowing about: continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) ask for an upfront entrance fee — often $150,000 to $1,000,000+, partially refundable to your estate depending on the contract — in exchange for guaranteed access to independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing on one campus as your needs change. Monthly fees apply on top of the entrance fee.

Hillside, a HumanGood Community McMinnville (Yamhill County) Entrance-fee life plan community

Rose Villa Portland (Milwaukie area) Entrance-fee CCRC
Willamette View Portland (Milwaukie area) Entrance-fee CCRC
Mirabella Portland Portland Entrance-fee CCRC, higher-end

Entrance fees and refund structures vary by community and change over time — confirm current numbers directly with each community before relying on them.

Age Requirements, in Plain Terms

There’s no single legal minimum age. Independent/55+ communities generally require at least one resident per household to be 55+. Assisted living communities set their own minimums, typically 62–65, though some accept younger residents with qualifying care needs. Most people move into assisted living much later than any minimum — the average age is around 84.
